Cyber Party

Ok, since I feel we are family I would like to invite each of you to our party today. Now today I would like you to do something festive to celebrate a most special occasion with me. Take a moment and think about whatever it is you do when your family celebrates. Our family loves birthday cake. I think it is because we love the rich butter cream frosting with Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream. For the party today we should opt for chocolate cake. The ice cream probably should be Blue Bell’s Cookies n Cream. A left over box of birthday candles will not do for this celebration. In order to have enough candles you will need a brand new box. You may choose to purchase the shaped number candles. If so you will need to pick up two 4’s. Now, I didn’t tell you the age of the birthday girl, did I?

Join me around the world in singing "Happy Birthday" in your own style. I know some sing the traditional “Happy Birthday” while others may prefer “A Happy Birthday to You”. You know the version that the Sunday School Directors lead us in years ago when we did the penny march for our birthday. Possibly you like the T. G. I. Friday’s version that goes like this: "This is your birthday song.It won’t be very long, see ya!" (As they quickly flee your table)

Let’s decorate our cyber dining areas with streamers and balloons. This birthday girl is sanguine and loves bright colors such and lime, orange, and turquoise. She loves using confetti so drizzle it everywhere. She loves fruit and chocolate. I think I’ll set up the chocolate fountain and cut some fresh fruit for each of us to enjoy.

Thanks for helping me celebrate Vicki’s birthday in grand missionary style!!!!

Vicki is 13.5 months younger than me. After only a few months we began looking like twins. Our personalities are distinctly different, however. She is full of color and I’m a little more straight-lined. As young girls I would come up with craziness and she would do it!!! She was the brave out front one and I was the more reserved serious child. People often confuse us. She’s been called Tracie or Sis. Smith and I’ve been called Vicki or Sis. Simoneaux. We have each walked halls at General Conference and held conversations with people we don’t know because we weren’t sure if we knew the person from years ago or if they had us confused! Sometimes at the end of such conversations the person would call us the wrong name and we would just smile and play the part of the other. In our extended family we were fondly referred to as “the girls”.

"The Girls" volunteering for the RedCross. Yes we are handling worn shoes!

Remember, Vicki, send me your sizes so I can have your birthday gift when you get home. I promise it will not be a cyber gift! Lol

Picture added after original post was made. This pic was taken today of Vicki with b'day flowers from a couple of missionary wife friends. The missionaries are a huge family! Thank you to whomever had Sis. Richardson do this special deed. Girl, you are making me hot in your winter sweater. We'll have to go shopping quick to get some Summer clothes. It's winter in Africa. Vicki will not be going home to get her summer clothes due to Timothy's condition. She thinks she can borrow from Mom, Kristi, and me. HUMMMM we are all different sizes so I'm not sure how that's going to work out! ha ha

OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD, HE REIGNS FROM HEAVEN ON HIGH!!
Have been reading your updates on Timo, and have been praying for this little guy. isn't (is that a proper word?) it great that we have the tecnology that allows us to talk daily all across that great body of water, and not have to wait for a week to hear about our loved ones? We don't understand why some things happen, but we know that even when "He's 4 days LATE, He's still ON TIME." Will continue to keep all of your family (including the "grands") in our prayers. God bless

I want the REAL chocolate party when I get to Texas HA! Aunt Beath - are you gonna make the icing? (yep, I said gonna)

Our Regional Director and wife, Bro. & Sis. Jerry Richardson are in South Africa and came to the hospital today and had lunch with us. Timo was able to be wheeled down, though he didn't stay as long as yesterday. Having my baby alive and knowing who I am is the greatest gift I could ask for. I have received flowers from 2 of my best missionary buddies and their families (thanks Paula and Cylinda). The Richardson's gave me a gift certificate to go get pampered next week after Timo is discharged from the hospital and we are waiting/resting up for our flight to Texas (which is the 18th by the way)

Thank you all again for everything - we are so blessed to be in HIS family!

OH I FORGOT - in Madagascar the PK's are in the middle of their PK retreat. They called me here in South Africa and over 200 Malagasy PK's sang Happy Birthday to me - yep, I shed a few tears! I LOVE PK's around the world!

Sis. Smith,
I have read both you and your sister's blogs and thought many times how much you look alike. Two lovely, godly ladies!
Happy Birthday, Sis. Simoneaux!
Praying for the greatest gift any mom can receive - continued and complete healing for Timo!
P.S. The "grammar" thread was so long, I decided not to comment. But having had family members with serious health conditions in other parts of the country I appreciate what you have done on behalf of your family.

Happy Birthday Sis. Simoneaux. I pray God's richest blessings on you in the coming year. I first learned of Timo's condition through an email from WNOP. We are believing God to completely heal Timo and praise Him for what He has already done. Thank you Sis. Tracie for keeping us up-to-date on Timo--you have done an excellent job--May God bless you also for your continuous efforts.

Blue Bell Ice Cream! Boy, you sure do know how to hurt a gal. The best ice cream that we can get here in Spain is at McDonalds and it's not nearly as wonderful as Blue Bell. That's one of the things that I look forward to when we travel in the South! You can't get in California either! Sigh. But, I do have some chocolate frosted cupcakes. So, we'll just put a candle on one of those. Happy Birthday Sister Vicki!

Sis. Simoneaux,

Happy Birthday from Southern California. My daughter made a chocolate cake yesterday with strawberry icing and a fancy brown fondant bow on top. We will remember you as we eat it today!

Last night in our Children of Praise choir practice, we prayed for Timo, Blake Allard, Garret, and Donovan from Jonesboro (my cousin's church, btw.) We will continue to pray for complete healing for these young men. In Jesus' name.

Happy Birthday Vicki! It is awesome how God is healing Timo. Can't wait to see ya'll back in Texas.
Your sister Traci has been so graciously keeping us updated on Timo's condition from the beginning. This Blog has been a great tool, in keeping us informed and keeping us praying for that little guy. With this modern technology we are able to know what was happening across the world.
Traci, your doing an excellent job and thank you for taking time from your busy schedule to keep us posted. We are praying for you!
Love you the Hernandez-Pasadena TX

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I sure enjoyed the Party!!! I think I gained 10 lbs over cyber space!!! Blue Bell is too expensive in Alabama to buy!! $6 a gal. You girls have done a wonderful job of keeping all informed of Timo and the whole family. Vicki I know you had to have a great day because your baby was awake and smiling!!! The pic makes me think of the times you'll played paper dolls, dress up and of course, wore my high heels!! Hope to see you'll soon!!!

Happy Birthday, Sis. Simoneaux!! What a nice party you've had today! I trust your day has been lovely. I'm sure having Timo alive and doing better was enough for you. I've enjoyed the party today and expecting to have another one when ya'll arrive in Houston. If all of us can't be there, I'm sure we'll be "partying" in our homes! God bless you, give you all strength, and bring complete healing to Timo!

Here's how I celebrated Sis. Vicki's birthday...I went SHOPPING!!! Wasn't that fun!?! I bought some Adventures in Odyssey CD's...just what she wanted, right? Seriously, I bought them for Donovan Moore, the other sick little boy. I know Sis. Vicki would appreciate the honor.
